Inspiration for the name Pachaippuyal (பச்சைப்புயல்)

An appellation of Lord Krishna occurring in Arunagirinathar’s Thiruppugazh.

பத்துத்தலை தத்தக் கணைதொடு 
ஒற்றைக்கிரி மத்தைப் பொருதொரு 
பட்டப்பகல் வட்டத் திகிரியில் 
இரவாகப் பத்தற்கிர தத்தைக் 
கடவிய பச்சைப்புயல் மெச்சத் 
தகுபொருள் பட்சத்தொடு 
ரட்சித் தருள்வதும் ஒருநாளே 

இப்படி அடியவருக்காய் எளிமையும், அவர் தம் எதிரிகளுக்காய் வீரமும் பொங்கும் குணக்குன்றான பச்சை வண்ணன், துன்பமெனின் கடிதில் வந்து அருள்வதில் கார்மேகமொக்கும் கண்ணனே(பச்சைப்புயல்), மெச்சும்படி(மெச்சத் தகுபொருள்) பக்தரை பரிபாலனம் செய்து அருளுபவன் கந்தன் என்கிறார்.
